Dr. M. Santhiramudu was born on 08th July 1954 in Nandyal, Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. He is the 5th son of Late Sri M. Lingamurthy. From the childhood, Santhiramudu is known as a man with peaceful nature – the word “Shanthi” means Peace, thus Santhiramudu means a man prefers peace. Since his childhood he has witnessed many sufferings of his fellow villagers particularly the people from the poor backgrounds. There were many social evils like caste system, feudalism, child and female exploitation etc., He felt EDUCATION is an ultimate solution to overcome these all evils, and that is what he chose to spread in the region with a motto “Education for peace and progress”.
In his vision education is for PEACE. With the same motto, he started his journey as an educationist by establishing a School in Nandyal by name ‘The Nandyal Public School’ in the year 1986.This was the first of its kind in Nandyal with CBSE affiliation under Parameswara Educational Academy. In the year 1992, he established a Junior College in Nandyal. He established a professional coaching centre at Nandyal in 1994 so as to enable the students to compete with urban students in professional courses. In the year 1995 he started the first Engineering college under Santhiram Group of Institutions. The foundation stone of the college was laid by ShriP.V.NarasimhaRao, the then Prime Minister of India. The second of this kind was established in the year 2007 and named as Santhiram Engineering College.
